Hi Stonebridge Swimming Parents,
We have the opportunity to swim in the Greater Raleigh Championships on July 12 at the new Triangle Aquatic Club in Cary. It is an all day event, with the 10 and unders swimming in the morning and the 11 and ups in the afternoon. The events are similiar to a TSA dual meet that we hold every Tuesday night. I am aiming to have at least 4 kids in each age group participate in this meet. Please email me at elizabeth.g.brunk@vanderbilt.edu by this Saturday at midnight if your kids are interested in swimming. I look forward to hearing from all of you! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or catch me in between practices at the pool.

PS. As a side note, 6 and unders are required to swim a full 25 in freestyle, backstroke, and breastroke.

There are two new movies to choose from on the schedule for Tuesday, June 23, 2009.
Wear your new Stonebridge Stingrays T-Shirts to show our team spirit and save some cash too! Matinee tickets are normally $6.00. We can get them for $5.50! I will be playing tennis so I won’t be able to attend the movies. Enjoy the show!

New swim caps and suits this year! Check them out at the Meet the coaches party. Please encourage your swimmer to wear a cap with our team name on it.
This year we will not be handing out trophies for all swimmers. Only high point & coaches’ awards will be given out at the end of the season. Instead, we hope to give everyone a Stingray t-shirt, participation certificate, and pixie stick.
Registration will be Sunday, May 17 from 4-6 at the meet the coaches party. Weather permitting we will be at the Carrington pool. If it rains, we will be at the Emerywood clubhouse.
Save the date! Championship meet at TAC is July 12. We would like to have as many swimmers participate as possible.

Join us for the 2009 “Meet the Coaches Party” on Sunday May 17th from 4pm to 6pm at the Carrington pool, rain or shine. At the party you’ll have a chance to meet the coaching staff and swim committee members, purchase team apparel (optional) and have any questions or concerns answered.
Be sure to bring a check for the swim team registration fees with you to the party. If you are unable to attend, please drop you payment by the home of Nora Winch at 10424 Whitestone Road (847-1953), no later than May 18th.
Bring the entire family and enjoy a Bar-B-Que Pig Roast, with dinner plates for only $6 each.

The Stonebridge swim team committee is trying a new online registration process for the 2009 swim season. It’s still a work in progress, so please bear with us as we continue to discover and refine the process. Please refer to the posted web registration instructions for a step-by-step guide to registering yourself and your children on the new system.
